BRUSSELS SPROUTS

Storage

Sprinkle fresh Brussels sprouts with water and store wrapped in damp paper towel or an open container or bag.  The sooner you eat it, the better it will taste!

Preparation

Brussels sprouts can be eaten raw or cooked.  Purple Brussels sprouts will hold most of its colour when cooked, especially if roasted instead of boiled.  Remove any wilted or yellow outer leaves and trim tough stems before eating.

An heirloom variety with purple & green sprouts and leaves.

Brussels sprouts are best harvested after frost for best colour & flavour.

KALE SPROUTS

A variety called Winter White, it produces open kale-like sprouts.

This variety is very winter-hardy and produces green and white-laced sprouts.
